Bridgeport: Quiet town in the shadow of a dam
BRIDGEPORT — Shady Bridgeport Park is an inviting retreat from the August sun as I ride into the quiet agricultural town below Chief Joseph Dam. I park the motorcycle and stroll across the grass where people are lined up to buy odd-shaped squash, watermelon, tomatoes, peppers, kohlrabi and cucumbers.
